We fought to protect the Affordable Care Act, and now the time to enroll has arrived! Open enrollment began on November 1 through our state’s health insurance exchange, Connect for Health Colorado. Open enrollment runs through January 12, but people seeking to be covered in the month of January must enroll by December 15.
Contrary to what you may have heard, financial help will still be available to those who qualify. Although the current Administration has decided to end cost-sharing reduction payments for health insurance companies, there are still cost savings available for you! Many working individuals and families will actually save money this year because of tax credits that offset the cost of insurance. Find out if you qualify for these savings by visiting the Connect for Health website in either Spanish or English.
Click here to help spread the word and share on Facebook! There are affordable and quality health insurance options available for working people, and it’s so critical to be covered. Insurance can help keep you healthy, protect you from debt, give you access to better care, and save you a lot of money in the long run. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act and the expansion of Medicaid, more than 500,000 Coloradans (and about 20 million people nationally) who were previously uninsured now have health coverage.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to the folks at Connect for Health Colorado if you have questions or want to find out the best plan for you and your family.
