Members from both our industries enjoyed getting to know one another at the 2014 Leadership Summit
Over 80 member leaders from across Local 105 came together this past weekend at the Doubletree Hotel in Stapleton for our 2014 Leadership Summit. The Summit is the first of its kind in many years at Local 105 and one which we hope to replicate.

“It was an awesome event,” said Connie Davies, an almost 8 year member with Kaiser. “Although I’m a steward and have attended steward trainings for years, the two days at the Summit taught me so much. Plus the energy in the room was great. I wish we could get folks that pumped up at our worksites!”

During the 2 day summit, member leaders attended skills building workshops, listened to member stories from across our industries and participated in hands on activities to get to know one another.

Highlights of the event include remarks by Valerie Long, SEIU International’s Executive Vice President who flew in especially for the event and members sharing their individual worksite, community and personal stories. In addition to the two days of workshops, members cut loose on the dance floor Friday night during a Summit reception at Pisco Sour Restaurant in Aurora.
