New Colorado Poll shows 73% of Coloradans Now Support Comprehensive Immigration Reform
A Public Policy Polling poll released last Thursday, June 13th shows overwhelming Colorado voter support for the bipartisan Senate Gang of Eight immigration bill. According to the bipartisan poll, 73% of Colorado voters support Comprehensive Immigration Reform that includes a path to citizenship– and there is political cover for elected officials to support the bill, as constituents said they are more likely to vote for elected officials who do so.
Highlights of the findings include:
- 73% of those polled said they strongly or somewhat support bipartisan immigration reform legislation being debated in Washington
- 69% of those polled said the strongly or somewhat support a bill that includes a tough but fair path to citizenship
- 74% of those polled are more likely to vote for an elected official who supports comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship
- Of those polled, 34% identified as Republicans, 37% as Democrats, and 29% as Independents
