Over 40 Local 105 members from across both of our industries, Health care and Property Services, came together for a two day intense training on building political power. Members from at least 6 different countries of origin discussed building political power and what that means for our membership and our Local union.
“Through a series of exercises and role playing conversations we learned what political power really means and what our role as member leaders is within it,” said Pedro Carrillo, a new Executive Board member. “It was so exciting to hear from different members perspectives. We learned so much together. I look forward to putting our new skills in action.”
